Synthetic Users Overview

This article provides an overview of the key features and components of Synthetic Users, explains the different access levels (Preview and Full), and highlights the latest updates introduced.

Synthetic Users (SU) give JENTIS customers the ability to close data gaps caused by user consent restrictions. With Synthetic Users, you can see how much conversion data is missing, understand the business impact, and recover missed conversions directly in your advertising and analytics tools.

Key Features

At the core, Synthetic Users provide two complementary capabilities: insight into conversion loss and recovery of missed conversions.

With Preview access available by default you can immediately measure how many conversions are being missed due to users not giving consent.

Paid Traffic Analysis

This view highlights the “conversion gap” and shows the impact of consent rates on your paid traffic. By surfacing the conversions you are missing to activate, you gain the context needed to evaluate campaign underperformance and to understand what potential uplift could look like.

Recovered Conversions Overview

When moving to Full access, Synthetic Users shifts from passive measurement to real activation of missed conversions. By using AI models trained on high-quality first-party data, JENTIS generates segments unique to your website and fills data gaps for non-consenting users. These models allow Synthetic Users to send modeled conversions into the tools you already use — such as Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, Microsoft Ads, and analytics platforms. With modeled conversions flowing into your stack, ad platform algorithms receive more complete signals, enabling them to bid more effectively, optimize audiences, and improve return on ad spend.

Components of Synthetic Users

Synthetic Users are made up of several components inside the JENTIS DCP. The entry point is the Getting Started screen, which allows you to begin by creating your first model.

Getting Started

Creating a new model is handled through the model creation wizard. This is a four-step guided process presented in a modal window. The wizard takes you through selecting the appropriate container, choosing the relevant tags, configuring campaign URL parameters, and finally reviewing a summary before creating the model.

Create Model

Once models are created, they are displayed in the models list. This table provides an overview of all Synthetic Users configurations in your account. Preview access focuses on missed conversions, consent rates, and the number of recognized campaigns. Full access highlights the additional conversions activated, recovery rates, and overall uplift. Filtering and search options make it easy to navigate between models.

Models List

For each model, you can open a Model Details view. This page provides analytics and performance data. In Paid Traffic Analysis, it shows events and conversions, grouped by tool and campaign, so you can assess where conversion loss occurs. Recovered Conversions Overview displays activated conversions, recovery statistics, and performance metrics per tool and campaign. This view also includes timelines, settings, and contextual controls for managing the configuration.

Preview vs. Full Access

Now with the Preview access Synthetic Users even more accessible.

Preview access is available across the DCPs by default. It provides complete visibility into missed conversions, consent rates, and traffic distribution. The data is displayed in models list and model details, but no modeled conversions are sent to external tools. You can explore how much value is currently lost and evaluate the potential impact of recovering missed conversions.

Full access requires an active Synthetic Users license. In addition to all Preview access features, it unlocks the activation of modeled conversions, sending them directly to advertising and analytics platforms. The Performance tab in model details provides metrics such as recovery rate, number of additional conversions, and uplift per campaign.
