Raw Data Tool - FAQ

JENTIS offers the possibility to capture raw data directly from your website onto an ftp server. To make use of this feature, please refer to our main guide on setting up the raw data tool and configuring your raw data exports.

What format are raw data file exports available in?

Raw Data Export is only available as an archived JSON File at this time. As the Raw Data API is in development, no other format of export can be prioritized over it. For more information on the data structure, please refer to our dedicated article.

How can I access the FTP server on which my raw data is stored?

To access the server storing our clients' raw data, use the host name ftp.jentis.com. Contact JENTIS Support for login credentials, specifying the accounts and containers for which you need access. Note that access might be limited based on our security policy and your configuration. Once granted access, you can log in using applications like WinSCP.

How long is my data available for?

The Raw Data is persisted on the cloud for a timeframe you define, the default is 30 days. But Raw Data is not configured and activate by default.

Raw Log Files Accessibility: Is there any provision for us to access raw log files of these tracking events? If so, how can we access these, and what does the process entail?

Such log files can be provided on demand for a specific timeframe in the future (e.g., tomorrow) but not for the past, as this is not stored permanently by default. We must provision this and will provide you with the observed and then persisted data after the defined period.
