Is it possible to track multiple domains within one container

What is the Problem?

Is it possible to use multiple domains for the same container?

What is the Solution?

JENTIS operates within a first-party context for all domains where it is utilized, which is a mandatory requirement. This is essential as cookies are set via HTTP response headers, and such an operation is not feasible in a third-party context for the specific use case.

It is possible to have one container for several Subdomains (f.e. example.com and help.example.com) - this will still fit the first-party context. If the Top-Level-Domain (example.at) or the Second-Level-Domain (other-example.com) are different, the same container can’t be used to serve both of them.

To solve this problem within JENTIS, follow these steps:

  1. Add Another Container: To begin, add an additional container to the appropriate account. By doing this, you will obtain a DNS entry and JS code that needs to be embedded, similar to any other container.

  2. Configure JENTIS DCP: In the JENTIS DCP, you can now choose which containers to apply the new settings to. This means that all configurations, including tags, triggers, variables, etc., will be consistently applied across all the selected containers.

Summary

In summary, having different Domain Names can be resolved by adding an extra container to your account and configuring it in the JENTIS DCP. This will allow the desired settings to be applied across all relevant containers, eliminating the issue you faced.
