# Configure Microsoft Ads for Synthetic Users

To leverage the power of Synthetic Users specifically for your Microsoft Ads campaigns, please follow the below instructions for configuring your Microsoft Ads Tool accordingly.

### Microsoft Ads Set Up <a href="#microsoft-a-ds-set-up" id="microsoft-a-ds-set-up"></a>

1. Go to your **Tags** on the **Server Tag Manager** and edit **all** of your Microsoft Ads tags following the next steps.

2. On the tag configuration, refer to the Essential Mode value of the tag configuration, which is displayed on the right side once this tool´s Essential Mode has been enabled:

3. Change the placeholder named **Microsoft click id** to include the variable **Synthetic User Click ID** in the Essential Mode column. This step is needed to be repeated in all in-use tags. The only except is the **Microsoft/Bing Ads Campaign Detection** tag.

4. Additionally, you must change the **Consent mode (ad\_storage)** parameter in the Essential Mode column to the predefined variable provided by JENTIS: `Synthetic Users - Microsoft Consent Mode (ad_storage)`
